Oops, I’m behind on my posts! On this Sunday, our worship was centered around God’s never ending love for us. Here’s the music we sang to express our gratitude: Glory to God (Fee), Because of Your Love (Paul Baloche), Unfailing Love (Chris Tomlin) and I Stand Amazed. We closed the service with all of us singing “Worshiping You” (Deluge).

We began our worship time with Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” We come together each Sunday to understand the Lord more and to grow in our knowledge of Him. Great time of worship! Our entire service was focused around the theme of worship. The key scripture was from Isaiah 29:13 – The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men.” Jesus also quotes this passage when talking to the Pharisees (Mark 7:5-7). This scripture is great reminder for us that God doesn’t desire ritual, he desires our hearts! (more…)
