Vacation

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010

I’ve got this week off.  Bar a few distractions, I’m getting to work on some of my own music.  I’ve recently upgraded to a new computer and all new software.  So there’s a bit of a learning curve, but I’m getting some stuff done!  Hope I can share it with you soon.  I hope to release a full album (cd, download, whatever, …) in the fall.

Sunday Services – May 23rd, 2010

Sometimes, it’s fun just to play with a smaller band.  This week we did the “Ben Folds” line up (piano, bass, drums).  It was great fun (all though my hands hands hurt from pounding the piano a little to much).  At least my fingers didn’t bleed (like Ben!).

We kicked off the worship time with Luke singing “Taken By Love”, recorded by Kuttless.  We continued with “Stand” (Hillsong), “Let It Rise” (old school version!),  Almighty God ( Joel Engle), Holy, Holy, Holy, and Desperation Band’s “Rescue”.  (more…)

We continue our series on “Balance”.  Musically, we’re beginning with Roark Jones and Carol West singing the Brandon Heath song “No Not One”.  This song focuses on the theme that “there is no greater love or sacrifice than God giving His son for us (can I hear an amen?).   (more…)

Sunday Services – May 2, 2010

Saturday, May 8th, 2010

On Sunday, May 2nd , we kicked off a new series entitled:  “Balance”.  I know this teaching series will having something for all of us as we attempt to keep our lives “centered” in Christ.

Musically, our worship was focused on just that: “Oh Christ, be the center of our lives” (lyrics from the song “Center”). (more…)
