Student Ministries Pastor, Tommy Morelock, spoke this morning on pursuing God through prayer.  Musically we explored that theme with the following songs: “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”, “He Knows My Name”, “Evermore” and “Friend of God”. Amazing thought that the King of the Universe hears when we call out to him!

No, we’re not turning into a lounge act or karaoke!  But, I’d love to have your suggestions on some of your favorite worship songs that we sing at River Oaks. I will do my best to incorporate many of these songs into the Sunday, August 29th services.  I’d love to hear why these certain songs are special to you, and how they give you encouragement.  This will be a great morning of music, communion and a devotional from Tim.  Please leave me some comments and suggestions!

This Sunday, we kicked off a new teaching series, “Pursing God”.  I’m looking forward to a great month of learning how to “chase” after God through the study of His word, prayer and community.  If you missed Tim’s inspiring message (or you want to hear it again), you can listen to it at the River Oaks website (riveroaks.org).  Read more →
